The affairs of the examination department are overseen by the Examination Committee of the College Council. The Committee selects the panel of paper setters, invigilators, assessors, and examiners for various examinations in accordance with the laid down criteria.
The examination formats are developed by the relevant faculties; which are updated from time to time. The system of evaluating the knowledge of the examinees is as objective, unbiased and transparent as is humanly possible.
Computers are used for optical scanning of the answer sheets of the candidates to evaluate the response cards of multiple choice questions (MCQs).
In other forms of theory and clinical examinations, no single person has the sole authority to determine the fate of a candidate.
Each short essay question (SEQ) in the theory examination and each part of clinical examination is conducted by a pair of examiners in which they score the answers / performance of the candidate independently.
The average of the score awarded by each examiner of the pair, without consulting each other, is assigned to the candidates. The senior most of the examiners is appointed as the convener in clinical examination to supervise and ensure smooth conduct of examination.
Feedback from the Candidates
The candidates are required to provide their feedback about the examinations they have taken, on a form provided for this purpose, without identifying themselves.
The result of each batch of candidates appearing in the clinical examination on a particular day is communicated individually to each candidate on the same day.
